About Julia

Dr. Julia Meis-Harris is a social psychologist and behavioural scientist with behaviour-change expertise in sustainability, biodiversity and health. Her research interests is the intersection of health and sustainability and working collaboratively with partner organisations. For the last five years, Julia worked as a Research Fellow at BehaviourWorks Australia (BWA), a behaviour change research enterprise located at Monash University (Melbourne, Australia). During her time at BWA, she worked on a range of conservation and biodiversity related projects. Just recently, Julia joined the Health and Risk Communication Lab (University Hospital Bonn) where she now starts to apply her knowledge in behavioural sciences to promote more sustainable food choices in the health context. Julia holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne, a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Cologne (Germany) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Psychology from the Leuphana University Lüneburg (Germany).
