In early September, the annual scientific conference of the European Health Psychology Society took place in Bremen, and we were there! In addition to exciting presentations, inspiring poster sessions, and lively discussions with colleagues from all over the world, we also had the opportunity to spend an evening by the Weser River, accompanied by music and culinary delights (see Photo 1).
The theme of the conference was "Health Psychology for All: Equity, Inclusiveness and Transformation," and discussions covered a wide range of topics in health psychology. These included social influences on health behavior, communication in healthcare, the health of children and the elderly, dealing with illnesses, stress, and interventions to promote healthy behaviors.
We also presented selected research projects and engaged in discussions with interested researchers.
Rebecca Blase gave an engaging presentation on "Risk Communication using Icon Arrays" in the session chaired by Prof. Simone Dohle (see Photo 2).
Dr. Julia Meis-Harris presented the latest results of the "Food for Future" project in the form of a poster (see Photo 3).
Alice Seffen highlighted in her presentation the factors influencing the motivation to reduce meat consumption (see Photo 4).
Inspired with new ideas and highly motivated we returned home. We are already looking forward to the next EHPS in Portugal in 2024!
