BONFOR - Symposium 2025

When: May 7, 2025

Where: DZNE | Lecture Hall and Floor
Building 99, Venusberg-Campus 1, 53127 Bonn

The Medical Faculty of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn is committed to the promotion of scientists in the field of medical research. The faculty's own funding program, BONFOR, which supports outstanding young scientists by providing them with start-up funds, has proven to be a successful springboard into research for many young scientists. A large number of research projects have been funded in recent years, some of which have led to groundbreaking scientific findings and significant external funding.

Young scientists will present the results of their research projects financed by various funding instruments in individual talks. The poster session is intended for SciMed fellows who will present their respective projects. It will take place in the afternoon after the presentations. The symposium offers all scholarship holders a platform to present their work.

A Doctoral Promotion Fair (Promotionbörse) will take place in the form of a lunch seminar, followed by a poster session with presentations from the individual research groups. The aim of the Promotion Fair is to help medical students to find a project and a research group for their MD thesis.

The symposium will be a good opportunity for the research community at the Medical Faculty of the University of Bonn to establish and consolidate scientific interactions and to learn about ongoing research projects.
