The Medical Dean's Office was once again represented with a booth at this year's UKB Summer Festival on August 23 and exhibited for the first time as the Vice Dean's Office for Sustainability.
On July 8, 2024, the Vice Dean's Office for Sustainability and Scientific Infrastructure in the Medical Dean's Office was elected by the Faculty Council. As Germany's first and so far only Vice Dean's Office in the field of sustainability, this is a major step - both for the university and UKB and also for a more sustainable future.
For the third time in a row, the Medical Dean's Office took part in the University of Bonn's Sustainability Day, where it once again exhibited exciting information and activities relating to the topic of sustainability.

In recent years the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Medicine exhibited at both Mobility & Sustainability Day, organized by University Hospital Bonn, and the Summer Festival, with stands on the topic of sustainability to communicate to the public how organizations have been engaging with those issues.
In line with the University of Bonn’s slogan "WE for Sustainability", the Faculty of Medicine and University of Bonn are members of BOOST, the Bonn Program for Sustainable Transformation.
A team from the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Medicine has created a bug hotel as a protected habitat for tiny creatures.
